stefansolo #inprogress Posture is the arrangement of the body in relationship to the ground/First Partner. While relaxed on the ground there is no muscular engagement to create posture. While standing you must engage some musculature to support each Joint to prevent a sudden return to first partner. These muscles are held loosely engaged using Tone and, as they are resisting gravity, no Tension is needed. In a specific posture certain engagement and thus resulting mechanical defaults result. This creates a starting off point for proprioception and frame.
To keep Frame and posture distinct. Think of posture as the internal structure of the body focusing on your relationship with the floor and modeling for a posture. Frame overlaps thinking of the build of the association between your center and your partner center. This utilizes the top part of posture.
