Fusion does not have a default posture when viewed as a framework. Instead we will be covering a crossroads. A place to find your partner when you lose them. Among familiar dancers they may never reach this posture if they have a basis of dances far from this crossroads. Fusion dances based in the three historic parent dances: West Coast Swing, Argentine Tango and Lindy. This crossroads however shows up in martial arts as well as sports and thus it may be close to a universal crossroads.
